I bought this fabric because it looks like the oil sheen floating on top of water in sunny parking lots.  Once making the dress I was reminded of summer of vineyards.  Oh well, win some lose some.....

I used Vogue pattern V8185 and eliminated the bit about the boning in the corset.  Instead I fused interfacing on the lining and wrong side of the fabric.  Way more comfortable then spiky bits o' plastic (or whale). I also only made two ruffles instead of three since Im a little short and dresses and skirts past the knees make you look even shorter.  And without further ado.....
