I'm not one for squealing, but I definitely squealed inside when I saw this. I LOVE THESE! (And it's like you were part of my childhood, too). You are really really cool.

Man, these are the best things ever. I love your childhood heroes. (And your embroidery is gorgeous and looks so cheerful! I love the smiling trees and the little mushrooms on the ground and his neon green paint, and Jaques Cousteau riding a really cute fish, and Crystal Gale's random flight and flowing hair, and Shel Silverstein's friendly childhood atmosphere.) The only one of those I ever saw on TV was Bob Ross though :/. I've read some of Shel Silverstein's poems (and he is very cool), but was he on PBS? I want to see Jaques Cousteau's sea adventures...

Your project is really inspiring. It makes me want to do something like that too.
I never really had childhood heroes, but I guess my equivalents in favorite show would be Bill Nye the Science Guy, the snails from Waterspider Wonderspider (Hungarian show - Vizipk-Csodapk), Sheldon Turnipseed from Ghostwriter, the Smurfs, and Care Bears (I never cared that much about the stories, but was fascinated by being able to create items from nothing and from drawing them on a whiteboard....although why you'd use such an awesome skill to make an empty toilet paper roll I don't know). And maybe TinTin. Your educational value puts mine to shame Wink.

I remember just watching in amazement while Bob would create the coolest paintings in only 1/2 an hour and how calm I would feel from listening to his soft friendly voice.  man I loved his afro!!!  Great job!!!!! Happy trees and fluffy clouds to all!! Grin

These are quite possibly the awesomest things I have ever seen! I love all of these people, but especially Bob Ross. I used to have sooo much fun watching his show with my grandma and listening to his soothing voice while he painted wonderful nature scenes. I remember his friend, Peapod the pocket squirrel. In fact, one of the mottoes I use to inspire myself when I feel down about something is, "In our world, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents." This is bringing a tear to my eye. You are truly awesome!  Cry

I have many crochet and plastic canvas booklets/leaflets from the 70's, 80's, and 90's that I am interested in trading for a variety of items. PM me if you would like a list of what I have.
