I saw the post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=289963.0  and decided it would be really cool if i could do that to my kids' faces and give it to my mom for a gift or something.  Anyway, I've only ever embroidered once in my life, I am totally new to the whole medium and I only know a couple of stitches, but I thought i'd give it a shot.  I tried the whole press and seal thing, too.  I'm not going to lie, it was a pain in the arse to get the little sticky pieces out around the eyes, but it was really great pattern wise to just lay it on my fabric and go.

So here it is.  Obviously, I have some bobbles, like his mouth and ears, but I am really happy with it overall.  I do need to learn how to keep my stitches tighter, too.

Comments and tips appreciated!

It's hard to believe that this is your second project. Good job.

I'd have to agree with KittyKill here - a terrific start!  Grin
