I recently painted the fireplace mantel. The old all-white version was just too dull. The imagery in the 2 main panels is a scene of my family camping out in the mountains. I'm fishing, my husband is playing guitar, and my kids are in the stream. But the dog is not our real dog. Instead of painting our real dog, I painted a well-behaved dog.

Wow.... that's so beautiful! From the preview it looked like a mosaic. You have great skills. Grin

That's astonishing!  I've done a few fireplaces, but nothing as fun and bohemian as that!  I'd sure appreciate more close-up shots if you've got them and the time/inclination to load them!  Also, fascinated by that heart on your mantle...

This is BEAUTIFUL work.  I love the detail, and I really like your artistic style.  The two main panels are adorable.  And what a way to personalize your house!  Great job.

Thanks, I will try and get a close-up.
The heart has provided hours of entertainment. I recommend everyone have one. I got it at a local costume shop.
