Absolutely beautiful Phizzy ... I have the same Asian stencil.

That's because it is your asian stencil! Cheesy I used the paper from a card you sent me, ooh probably years ago now because I loved it. I remembered that it had the word 'balance' which I knew would go so well with the cherub.

I keep everything and put it to good use again. So really, it's a Colorfuldayz and Phizzy page, I can't take all the credit! Grin

I TOTALLY do that.  I make ATCs and 4x4's with snippets from cards and envies I get from others.  I know I have stuff from GG, Phizzy, Aliastriona, AM, etc... that I use bits of later.  Too fun!

HA! I just love that goat stamp. What a pretty page AM and I love the idea of embossing one element like that!

I too keep all those little bits and pieces but what I don't do is use them, hehe. I just keep saving them. I'm so terrible about that but I love all my bits and pieces.

I just learned that Tristitia received the page I sent her and she asked if I could post it.
I stalked her a bit to find out what things she might like and I saw bugs...ooh I like bugs and after seeing a tute on how to make these really cool wings on someone's blog I figured I had my page idea. I give you bugs.

awwww, I luv your bug page babs!  So do tell, what are the wings made of? (they look so delicate and very gossamer like)

Well I finally was able to get to my scanner and upload the gorgeous page I received from goatgoddess a few days ago....

Its got tons of layers, colours and a lovely gloss on top. I forgot to scan the back in my haste, its a lovely paper with live, love, laugh on a heart. I adore the hummingbird in the top right corner and the sentiment is very meaningful to me.  Thanks so much goatgoddess!

phizzy i love the vines on that page, and the cherub statue! and i'm totally loving the paper measuring tape you've used on a few pages recently... i'm kinda jealous of it, actually! Wink and the map is very cool the way it reflects the vines.

tristia, i'm SO in love with the colours you used on this page! it's so gorgeous! the fibers are fantastic too, and i love the lady on the back! i'd love to see it bigger, i feel like i'm missing out on all sorts of details!

am, i love how you use stamps! i have so many now, and i'm never happy with how they look when i use them! the black bird is oh so cool, and i love the tag hanging down from his mouth!

babbetto, the bug is so fun and happy! i'm totally curious about the wings too! i really really like the little bugs (they're bugs, right?) with the text bodies.... they're so cool.

and goatgoddess, such a RICH page!! it's gorgeous! so many beautiful layers, a fabulous quote (such a great sentiment), and i love the fringe on the bottom.

Thanks, yeah I've used it all over the place, I don't have much left! Cheesy I can't remember who sent it me, but I've had it a while!

Love the bugs! And add me to the list of people curious about the fab wings! Wink

I love all your layers on that one goatgoddess, and the danglies!

Ahhh GG what pretty little danglies and I love the color/tone of that page!

The wings really are easy and I HAVE to do something with all this extra copper wire I keep picking up, hehe.
You take your wire, copper cuz I likes it that way, and you bend it into the shape you want your wings in and then you take some tissue paper and schmear glue or modge podge on it and then wrap it over the wire.

Schmearing is very important.

I cut two pieces of tissue and then kinda glued them together with the wire and my copper sandwich stuff. You also want to schmear more glue over the top and bottom, it helps with the transparency. You do want to be careful not to rip your tissue paper. I did and then tried to patch it and one wing ended up not as transparent as the other. You will want to hang these to dry, overnight even. Leave extra tissue hanging over the edges and when dry just trim it.

Yes Crafty_Dame, they are bugs, thanks for recognizing that  Wink.  I was a little worried that no one would know what they were.
