Happy Fiber Friday all!

I've got a few today. Some are from last week but I never got around to posting them. I dyed all of these.

"Andes"- merino, 137 yds.


"Blue Planet"- merino, 110 yds. plied with metallic silver thread


"Fantasia"- falkland, 118 yds.


"Glass Bottom Boat"- falkland, 126 yds.


"Fancy Pants"- falkland and angelina, 116 yds.


"Cutie Pie"- falkland, 145 yds.


"Enchanted Forest"- falkland, 126 yds.

I love Glass Bottom Boat! I love everything bright green at the moment, but this colour combination is the best I've seen lately!

My yarns for this week:

Snow White, merino, 78m/130g
I'm planning to make a "urchin" out of this, but the wool is spun a bit too thick. Well, I think I'll try, maybe the smallest size will work for my big head with this yarn... 


Rose-Red, merino, 158m/312g

This is for a birthday present for a friend. I spun the wool and another friend will knit it into a scarf (in fact it's almost finished).

I love the andes, glass bottom boat and the enchanted forest yarns. No, they're all beautifull!
And the idea of  someone spinning and the other friend knitting the present is really nice. That makes it such a personal gift

Fiber Friday February First... just had to say that! Looks great so far. I love "Fancy Pants." Here's what I made this week:

"Igloo" - wool, nylon, and a little firestar for sparkle



"Tiny Dancer" - natural gray and white wool, pink nylon



"Picasso's Paintbrush" - wool and nylon

This is sock yarn spun from Sakina Needles' Waterspout.  It's so lovely, and was a dream to spin.  Now I just have to knit the socks.

Everything is nice so far.  I love Igloo and Enchanted Forest.  Darlingbud's yarns all look so soft and squishy!

I have a BUNCH to share today!!!!  whoo hoo it's friday!!  Sorry in advance for my bad photos.. it's raining here today, so I had to take the photos in the bathroom..

The first is my favorite!!  It's 2 ply.. one is the Jan Fotm from Zen string.  It's 80/20 Merino/Tussah Silk- dyed in shades of warm browns.  The second ply is corridale dyed in shades of dark brown.  Together they make up about 8 oz, 120 yards of thick and thin.
I'm calling it "Box of Chocolate" in honor of upcoming V-day!!  It has all the browns you'd find in a yummy box of chocolate.. from creamy white chocolate to the red in cherry cordials...  it's definitly yummy!!



This is the leftover single from zenstring FOTM.  It's called "Rosewood"  (which is what she called it  



This is called "amethyst"  It's alpaca, bamboo, silk and some angelina glitz.
It's from a Loop batt called "blackberries"  The photos just don't show the sparkle!!! 
This is one of the last things I spun on my drop spindle..
3 oz, 130 yards



This one is called "rasberry latte"  because it reminds me of the yummy rasberry syrup and the deep espresso brown of the espresso and the creamy amber of the crema on top of the shot of espresso (I managed a starbucks for way to long!!)
It's also a Loop batt, called "chocolate liquer"  It's 100% bamboo.  I LOVE bamboo!! It's so soft and shiny!!
3 oz, 80 yards, spun thick and thin


Finally, this is the January FOTM from Spunky Electric.  I spun it thick thin, and plyed it together.  It's Grey Islandic dyed with deep blues and turqouises.  It's 8 oz, 110 yards.  I'm calling it "snowy days"



I just got my first bag of locks from hollyeqq.  spinning straight locks are fun! She even sent some angelina to add!! 



and now what I have to work on... I just got a HUGE box from step LOOP.. I'm so excited I just want to dive in...  my kittens almost did!!

Yeah, I love FF!!  Everything looks awesome so far.  I especially love Blue Planet, Raspberry Latte and Igloo.  But all of them ROCK!!!!   

Here is my one lonely contribution this week.  I really need to find more spinning time. 


Taste the Rainbow--122 yards of handspun, plied with a varigated cotton crochet thread in pastel rainbow colors like the yarn.  Made from the October Batts from Traveling Rhino's Club.  Contains BFL, Superwash Merino, Domestic and Targhee Wools with Nylon & Angelina sparklies.

I love how this one came out!  It will stripe with wide non-repeating stripes!
