It seems to be the week for bad weather. We've had flooding. We didn't get flooded in but the IL's did and dh has been cleaning up their place for days. I've been mopping up mud and now it seems that the system which caused it all and then went South is being pushed back North again.

On a Supplies note. Can I interest anyone in knitting needles? I was at my local thrift store yesterday and it looks like someone has dropped off some excess stock inventory Bamboo needles, dpn's and circulars. About 20 of each of a range of sizes, still in packets or with cardboard attached. So, if anyone's interested, I can go back hunting for everyone else if I have your list of sizes. I grab a few *$20 worth* for myself in random sizes but either pm me or post in this thread. I will see what I can do.

Added a new hat to my shop for 1 point.  You will be getting that hat in the picture, just made fresh off the needle.

if you click on the picture it will take you to my store... or at least it should take you to my store.

Since I have already had two inquiries about the knitting needles, I thought I would check out what I bought and post a sample of sizes.

The bamboo only come in straights but range from 3.75 to 6.5 mm which my copy of 'Knitting For Dummies" tells me are American sizes 5 and 10.5. They may be smaller or larger but those are the sizes I bought.

DPNs are metal and I bought 2.25mm 3.25 mm 3.75 mm and 4 mm or sizes 1 3 5 and 6

Circulars are also metal and came in

2.25mm * 80 cm / Size 1 * 32 inches
4.0 mm * 40 cm / Size 6 * 16 inches
4.5 mm * 80 cm / Size 5 * 32 inches
5.0 mm * 60 cm / Size 8 * 24 inches
5.0 mm * 80 cms / Size 8 * 32 inches

I'm going to be working on some inchies and jewellery today I think, I've not added anything for ages! My poor neglected swap shop Cheesy

After 2 hours, lots of tests, horrid eye drops and trying to pronounce letters correctly from an eye chart, I'm back. I completely forgot how to pronounce Z and had to draw it with my finger like Zorro! Cheesy

It turns out it's a mole inside my eye which is only going to be a problem if I notice my vision is altered, and at the moment it's perfect, so yay! Grin

Phizzy, glad you're ok.  I didn't know you could have a mole inside of your eye.  Very interesting.

I hear you about neglected shops I've gotta do something about that too.

John left this morning for TN.  His dad is on a ventilator and may request to be taken off....very sad.  We wanted to take Lana to see her grandfather one last time, but John though it would be too traumatic now.  His dad deteriorated so rapidly.  They kept putting off our visit saying that they wanted us to come later and now it's too late.

No, it came as a bit of a surprise to me too Cheesy Apparently you can get them on your eye as well as in it, too!

I'm sorry to hear about John's Dad, Atsuko. I can't imagine how difficult that must be for him, and all your family.

Aw Atsuko, so sad to hear about John's dad, it must be a very difficult time for you all

Glad your eye's not too much of a problem phizzy, if the mole doesn't affect your vision how did you know it was in there?

These little Valentine's guys are great aren't they!!  Cheesy Cool Roll Eyes
