Lips sealed this one makes me laugh!

They picked up an abnormality on a routine eye test so they referred me. Apparently it could have always been there, but they said that the last optician could have been more thorough or used better equipment than in previous eye tests. I had the test back in England so I could get some new contact lenses, but went to Boots Opticians rather than Vision Express this last time.

Me again! I have added a necklace and 2 bracelets to my shop. If you like brown and/or spots then it's the jewellery for you! Cheesy

Cute jewelry Phizzy!

Everyone always has such pretty jewelry that I want to claim but I don't wear any!  On "special occasions" I will wear my wedding ring but that's it!  Hmmmm...maybe that should be next year's resolution : wear jewelry.

Hehe, I totally understand that Mimi!!  I make jewelry and yet hardly wear any myself.  I used to wear tons growing up, but doing labwork stopped me from wearing my rings and little by little everything else as well.  Now I'm just out of the habit.

Maybe it is just accessories in general.  I make purses but don't carry one.  How ridiculous is that?!

That's funny!

I love chunky things, but I have days when I can't bear to wear any. I've usually always got my fav rings on though. I used to wear bracelets a lot but they annoy me when I'm painting, so I tend to favour fabric cuffs now.

Working in a lab also made me stop wearing jewelry or carrying a purse etc. I'm trying to get back into the habit though.   Grin   Earrings though are still going to be a problem as my birds like to pick at them...sometimes quite forcefully!   Shocked  So, I tend to not wear earrings unless its a special occasion and then I take them off afterwards.  Wink

It seems to be the week for bad weather. We've had flooding. We didn't get flooded in but the IL's did and dh has been cleaning up their place for days. I've been mopping up mud and now it seems that the system which caused it all and then went South is being pushed back North again.

On a Supplies note. Can I interest anyone in knitting needles? I was at my local thrift store yesterday and it looks like someone has dropped off some excess stock inventory Bamboo needles, dpn's and circulars. About 20 of each of a range of sizes, still in packets or with cardboard attached. So, if anyone's interested, I can go back hunting for everyone else if I have your list of sizes. I grab a few *$20 worth* for myself in random sizes but either pm me or post in this thread. I will see what I can do.

Hey sansa, do you know what kind of bamboo needles they are?  Is there a name on the card?  Not to be picky, but I've had some rough luck with some kinds that I'd like to avoid....   Kiss

Totally un-craft-related...but...I have a date!   Grin  On Valentine's Day!  Can you believe it??

Okay, so maybe it's not exactly a "date."  It's just my friend who I'm hoping will be a boyfriend eventually.  And we'll probably just hang out and watch a movie in his truck.  But I won't be spending Valentine's Day alone!  WooHoo!   Wink

Sorry, lol, but I had to share.  I'm so happy I could cry, I don't think I've EVER had a Valentine's Day date before in my life.
