Hey, if you found a papercraft lorenz attractor, I'd totally claim it Smiley

(semi-digression: a couple years ago there was mention of a paper on crocheted lorenz attractors in the craftster blog (http://www.craftster.org/blog/?m=200412). We printed out a copy of the paper and gave it to Prof. Lorenz, who worked down the hall (I was still in grad school); he was quite tickled! but anyway)

I scored at the thrift store this morning, there was a ton of fabrics:

Selkie, if you like the purple-magenta piece in the center, let me know, and I'll tell you more about it.  The indigo and brown circle/dot piece is my favorite, I am going to make myself something with it. The tiny dots (bottom left) and brown animals(top right) will probably end up in my fabrics-for custom items pile. Also the dark purple cross-dye cotton (center bottom), although if someone wants it, I can add it to my shop as a supply.

I also got this big piece of home dec linen

to make pillows with for summer. I'll probably have extra, so there might be pillowcases in my shop later this spring.

Off to do more costuming...

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

LL, nice idea.  You always think of such great ways to keep your kids entertained while they have to spend a sick day at home.  Strep and some weird fever are making the rounds here ATM.

Legerdemain, those site are too cool!!  I wanna make that bat...one of these days.

PW, great finds!!  You have the best thrift store.

Today was Lana's last interview. Yay!!  And I finally lowered the boom and told Lana that she was being weaned.  She's not taking it well.  But it was inevitable.  Any advice on how to help her through this would be greatly appreciated.

No crafty updates.  Still haven't managed to do anything much.  Ack.

I just updated my shop...some new supplies and fabrics, the last of my pottery, some covered button thumbtacks and some new covered button ponytail holders. Also, a beautiful shirt I got from Penlowe's shop before but it is too small for me...and it's only one point now so if you were eyeing it in her shop, now's your chance to snag it for a bargain!

So, here is a picture of the dish towell were were discussing earlier. Before I got it out to take a picture I hadn't really looked at it in a long time so it is actually a hot dog becoming a real dog rather than the other way around (don't know which way is less disturbing though!  Wink)

Wow, that is a great towel!

I bought a baggie of crochet hooks and stuff at the thrift store, there was a pair of metal knitting needles in there, I think size 8. Is there any interest? I'd list them as 1/2 point for the pair.

I've got to make some green pants for Much Ado tonight, but I've got some felt laid out as well....
