I claim La_Chrystelle for pillowcases to embroider and Twizlers
WISH LIST:
NEW
: I got a sewing machine for Christmas (my bf rocks) but the thing is, it’s my first so I have nothing: I need
thread, fabric and whatever else you need to seriously start sewing (patterns welcome too)
. So absolutely everything is welcome. Thanks
dontlookback
, more is welcome.
My goal is to make a dress for myself for a friend’s wedding in July.
NEW
:
My bf needs caps and bandanas (in boyish colors) for his head. He just underwent chemo for leukemia
. He just got a whole bunch of those plus I love his bald head.
On that subject, I would really like to remind all of you to donate blood as well as platelets (leukemia patients need a lot of transfusions), also for those of you who have considered donating organs, please consider getting yourself on the bone marrow donor registry (
http://www.marrow.org/HELP/Join_the_Donor_Registry/index.html
). My bf is lucky enough that both his brothers are a match but other patients need the help of strangers. Thank you.
NEW
: I need a new pair of slippers. They can be store bought and embellished (I have a preference for embroidery), knitted/crocheted then felted for durability or made from scratch if you feel so inclined, women's US 8, UK 5, EUR 38/39
NEW

2 balls Chili, 2 balls Paprika, 1 ball Gold, 2 balls Rust, 2 balls violet, 2 balls Dusty pink, 1 ball Navy, 1 ball Apple green, 1 ball Grass green, 1 ball Lemon
NEW
: a bedcaddy (
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/507_515.htm
) so i am not fishing for my glasses and my book on the floor.
NEW
:a bathrobe or something similar for lounging in my pjs
Crafted:
• Felted bag: something small like Amanda’s squatty sidekick (
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187674.0
)
• A basket to keep my wips under control (in whatever medium you’d like)
• A hand-painted or customized mug
• A kimono inspired hoodie like this
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177160.80;

I am a nanny, so I tend to be very practical (no frilly, girly things in my wardrobe, sticky fingers are not forgiving). I like soft pinks, browns, reds and neutrals, blues are great too, no greens please. I love to read, fantasy and sci-fi in particular and I am a bit of a TV addict.

i claim ashphalt queen for circular knitting needles
this my first claim of 3 allowed
now about me:
i am a 25 year old mother of 3 and married to a big child (31 going on 5). i live in a tiny little dot on the map clgate, saskatchewan canada. i'm closer to the us border than any large city in my own country. i am a stay at home mom (with 3 under 5 i have to) i have crafting ADD . . . i have a new obsesion weekly it seems. i have sewn since i was kid (granny taught me) i also crochet (the other granny taught me as a kiddo) i recently learned to knit and then promptly cheated and bought a knitting machine. i dye yarn on occasion, i can cross stitch (havn't in years though), i've dabbled in scrapbooking, and stamping, and card making, and paper quilting, embroidery (hand and machine), needle felting, stained glass, jewlery making, see where the ADD kicks in lol. these days i mostly crochet or sew. i am really wanting to learn spinning (my husband is thrilled about that *rolls eyes*)
I am new to the whole wist thing so I don’t have much in/on it but there are pics of bags I like, and kids toys I like
http://www.wists.com/1boy1gir1bitty2
i like almost any colour but love muted brights or earth tones
*GINORMOUS BIG WISH* my purse/bag is starting to crap out on me and i just don't have the patience to make a new one at the moment. not overly picky except for size. it needs to fit a couple of diapers, mini wipe case, baby sleeper, wallet, keys, phone and zipper not a necessity
books and magazines: used is awesome!
-any crochet books or mags (how to's and or patterns)
-any quilting books or mags (i have a couple pm me for what i have)
-beginner knitting books or mags
-romance novels (especially about pregnancy)
-fantasy/sci books
supplies:
-pocket knitter like this one
http://www.bond-america.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=6&category_id=2
-yarn (i havn't tried soy, hemp, corn, silk)
-would love a soft cotton yarn to make face cloths out of
-handyed yarns are always nice
-hand spun yarn
-roving dyed or undyed
-amy butler pattern used is awesome (make sure all peices are there though)
-safety eyes for my toy making
-skin tone knit fabric
-white or cream suede cloth (i make my baby's diapers)
-handbag/purse handles
-size 16 poly resin snap sets for a kam press in all colours (from thesnapstore.com)
the nearest craft supply store is 2 hours away so anything to feed my current obsession would be nice and appreciated
crafted items:
-knitted socks for me or any of the members of my clan (pm me for sizes)
-toys - with all the recalls lately i'm switching out their toys for handmade with NO LEAD PAINT a possibility of being near them
-my son (2 y/o) likes cars or a boy doll would be nice
-Ldd (3 mns) rattles, texture toys, baby things
-mitts in blues and blacks to match my coat
-handmade book/journal
-oversized hobo style bag (crocheted would be nice)
-would love an absorbant 1/2 apron i am constanly wiping my hands on my pants (bad habit i know)
kits:
-shrinky dink kit
-polymer clay kit
i could add more my my mind has a tendency to wander and things have escapes me at the moment. most of whats listed has links in my wists

I would like to revoke my "can't send out of US" and claim Shiitake for some Yogi tea (I hope they have the right flavors at my store) and perhaps something else..
This is my first claim this round (0 sent, 0 received)
Okay! I am a 19 year old lady and I live in the Bay Area in California with my beautiful beau, 2 pet rats and a bearded dragon (and now a gorgeous Brazillian rainbow boa). I like to knit, sew, crochet and embroider. I love animals, snuggly and scaley. My favorite seasons are Winter with Fall in a close second. I love the color Green and light blues and creams. I’m pretty tall and I have sasquatch-sized feet. Plants are the best. Anything inspired by anything that is alive. (not a fan of leathers or furs)
Things I like:
First of all, anything inspired by my wist:
http://www.wists.com/Dandelion
Biggest wish there ever lived: I would give my right arm for this two-headed baby goat:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=218979.0
Anything for my Snuggle Bear. He's 21, loves computers and reptiles. He likes dark colors like blues, browns and black. He likes a lot of anime shows (pm me if you're interested in any of those). He doesn't like really fancy things, always likes t-shirts (stenciled or screen printed maybe?) Scented candles are always on the list (nothing musky or super sweet). Send me a message for more ideas, something for him would be awesome.
A collapsible bucket/bag like this one with a longer strap to carry like a shoulder bag:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Collapsible-Bucket/
I love, love, love the colors and shape of this bag:
http://machenmachen.wordpress.com/2007/08/31/free-pattern-for-the-wasp-bag/
Fingerless gloves, I love Eunny’s end paper mitts. I love Icey blue and rich brown!
A crafty half-length apron, I love this one:
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d115/jmgallo/craftster073.jpg
thanks santacruzsugar!
A pretty/cute dress, something inter-seasonal, perhaps? Hehe, I can hope!
Knitted knee socks
.
Materials for things I like to do:
Sewing/Embroidery:
Fabric! Cotton and corduroy are the best. I love Japanese designs and things like Amy Butler or anything Repro Depot style. (no novelty for now, I have a yard and a half of Ronald McDonald fabric that I love but have no idea what to do with)
BIG WISH!! Heavier weighted fabric to make the wall organizer from Lotta Jansdotter's book (Or if you want to make the wall organizer that is cool too
)
Pattern for Amy Butler’s Sofia Carry-All bag, it’s so awesome!
A rotary cutter
thanks !b
A rectangular ruler, the clear kind with the grid measurements for quilting
Pillow forms
good for now
Embroidery thread
I'm good for now, thanks !b
Sublime Stitching patterns (I have Unicorn Believer and Sushi Bar)
good for now, thanks Lilyvanilli!
.
Crochet/Knitting:
Stitch markers! Pretty or fun. Not too cutesie or bigger (longer) than about ¾”
Crochet hook case, I love this style with the curve and the little flap over it:
http://www.craftleftovers.com/blog/?p=87
hooray la_chrystelle!
Any Debbie Bliss yarn (or anything similar to her cashmerino aran)
Yarn Swift
Ball Winder
Crochet hooks (I lost my
2
1 (one fell between my chair cushion!) favorites ever
pm for sizes)
thanks Santacruzsugar!
Knitting needles, (pm for sizes)
A knitting needle roll
.
Books/Magazines (pre-loved is great!)
back issues of Craft: I have Winter 07/08 and the newest one
Back issues of interweave (PM for ones I have)
Japanese craft books
Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson
In Stitches by Amy Butler
Bend-the-Rules Sewing by Amy Karol
Stitch 'n Bitch Nation by Debbie Stoller
Softies by Therese Laskey
couldn't help myself
Denyse Schmidt Quilts
.
General themes:
CSI: Vegas
Violas or Cellos
Coheed & Cambria
Rhinos
Horror novels (Favorite ever: Suffer the Children by John Saul)
Anatomical hearts/brains

foreign languages/cultures: American Sign Language, French, Japanese, Latin, Dutch (No wooden shoes! )

I would like to claim Dinosaurus Meg for a book from her list.
This is my first claim, 0 sent, 0 received.
I am
27
28 (yikes!) and in North Carolina. Recently moved out to the "woods" (not really woods) and discovering my hippier side..
I am vegetarian, love cooking, spend my time knitting, watching movies and gardening. I love green, anything with elephants or birds. I have a not-so-hidden love of the Star Trek and I love documentaries. Since I'm not good at this personal-ad stuff, on with the icing:
DIY KITS + SUPPLIES
Niddy Noddy
Solid Color Sock Yarn
Klingon-style cloaking device for the stash
Baby alpaca yarn. (or a baby alpaca
)
Roving! (esp handdyed and/or interesting fibers)
Handmade Paper
Green Yarn -- any type is good! I love anything green + yarn-ey.
This is pretty specific,
but
I am looking for a pair of 32" circular needles US9 that have a pointy tip. I prefer wooden or something like the Addi Turbo lace needles (though they don't make the size I need), but I have to make the Sugarplum Shrug from the holiday IK issue and this is stopping me!
Rag Balls like
http://www.2oldcrows.com/Potpourri/oldquiltragballs010.jpg
Natural Roving
Handspun Yarn
Ashford Jacquard Acid Dyes - specifically, any of the following: silver grey, kelly green, chartreuse, spruce, pumplin orange, gun metal, olive, burnt orange
Small, Lace Circular Needles (size 1 or smaller)
Small Wooden DPNS (1, 0, 00, 000, etc)
CRAFTY STUFF
Flannel PJ pants. I'm a wee one, so I hope that makes it easier? (You can PM me for sizes)
Altered book
Mittens - any color is good
Reusable shopping bags (small ones are good, too, for produce!)
Green Placemats - I like green tone on tones, or something patchwork.
A knit bonnet. In blues, or greens. Again, another thing I'll never find time to make myself.
Screenprinted shirts. (Extra small/small) PM me if you would like specific ideas
Resin Bracelets/Bangles
Green Knit Legwarmers (I never find the time to make my own)
Stationery with stenciled/screenprinted birds
Handmade candles (I love vanilla, fig, lavender)
Tea Cozy
Some labels to go around my yarns. Some crafty paper person could help design something fun.
Knit/Crochet Hat for DH (in blue or black maybe?)
Floor cushion for the DH for the ultimate comfort in wii-playing (even if one of you talented sewers could just sew the cushion cover, I'll buy the insert)
Panta/Calorimetry
Fabric, re-usable lunch bag
Hand-sewn lavender (or cedar) sachets
Name plates for books (those label things that you stick on the inside of books)
Anyone into pottery? I'd love some new coffee mugs.
Anything with Gnomes. Really.
Cloth Menstrual Pads (the ones with wings + fasteners)
A clutch like this one:
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/133071leg.jpg
Dresser/Jumper like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=156718.0
MISC
Spinning Designer Yarns by Diane Varney
The Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook: Dyeing, Painting, Spinning, Designing, Knitting by Lynne Vogel
Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel
Gnomes for my Garden
any of the Moosewood cookbooks
Scented candles
Pre-loved copies of Interweave Knits
Hand-dipped incense. Esp nag champa.
Bento Lunch Box
One of those wooden clothes dryer things. Maybe it has a more specific name, but I'd like it to dry roving in the tub.
Loose teas - esp. lemon verbena
Dog Toys. He thinks he never has enough.
Old Time Radio shows on CD (addicting, especially the thrillers!)
Anything on my wists!
Thanks!

i claim lapoli for a yarnie surprise and cloth pads
this is my second claim of 3
now about me:
i am a 25 year old mother of 3 and married to a big child (31 going on 5). i live in a tiny little dot on the map clgate, saskatchewan canada. i'm closer to the us border than any large city in my own country. i am a stay at home mom (with 3 under 5 i have to) i have crafting ADD . . . i have a new obsesion weekly it seems. i have sewn since i was kid (granny taught me) i also crochet (the other granny taught me as a kiddo) i recently learned to knit and then promptly cheated and bought a knitting machine. i dye yarn on occasion, i can cross stitch (havn't in years though), i've dabbled in scrapbooking, and stamping, and card making, and paper quilting, embroidery (hand and machine), needle felting, stained glass, jewlery making, see where the ADD kicks in lol. these days i mostly crochet or sew. i am really wanting to learn spinning (my husband is thrilled about that *rolls eyes*)
I am new to the whole wist thing so I don’t have much in/on it but there are pics of bags I like, and kids toys I like
http://www.wists.com/1boy1gir1bitty2
i like almost any colour but love muted brights or earth tones
*GINORMOUS BIG WISH* my purse/bag is starting to crap out on me and i just don't have the patience to make a new one at the moment. not overly picky except for size. it needs to fit a couple of diapers, mini wipe case, baby sleeper, wallet, keys, phone and zipper not a necessity
thanks la_chrystelle for taking this on!
books and magazines: used is awesome!
-any crochet books or mags (how to's and or patterns)
-any quilting books or mags (i have a couple pm me for what i have)
-beginner knitting books or mags
-romance novels (especially about pregnancy)
-fantasy/sci books
supplies:
-pocket knitter like this one
http://www.bond-america.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=6&category_id=2
-yarn (i havn't tried soy, hemp, corn, silk)
-would love a soft cotton yarn to make face cloths out of
-handyed yarns are always nice
-hand spun yarn
-roving dyed or undyed
-any amy butler pattern used is awesome (make sure all peices are there though)
-safety eyes for my toy making
-amy butler-ish/moda fabric
-cloth shopping bag that folds into its own pouch
-would love an absorbant 1/2 apron i am constanly wiping my hands on my pants (bad habit i know)
*BIG WISH*
A PURSE ORGANIZER (Like the one on my wists)

I claim 1boy1girl1kitty2 for fantasy/sci books
This is my 3rd claim of 3.
NEW
: I got a sewing machine for Christmas (my bf rocks) but the thing is, it’s my first so I have nothing: I need
thread, fabric and whatever else you need to seriously start sewing (patterns welcome too)
NEW
: Lion Brand’s Jiffy yarn for an afghan for a friend’s wedding:
2 balls Chili, 2 balls Paprika, 1 ball Gold, 2 balls Rust, 2 balls violet, 2 balls Dusty pink, 1 ball Navy, 1 ball Apple green, 1 ball Grass green, 1 ball Lemon
NEW
: a bedcaddy (
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us/507_515.htm
) so i am not fishing for my glasses and my book on the floor.
NEW
:a bathrobe or something similar for lounging in my pjs
Crafted:
• Felted bag: something small like Amanda’s squatty sidekick (
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187674.0
)
• A basket to keep my wips under control (in whatever medium you’d like)
• A hand-painted or customized mug
• A kimono inspired hoodie like this
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177160.80;
• A pair of flannel pajama pants
•
Softies of realistic animals (jungle or farm animals, always a hit) for the lovely children in my life, and there is quite a few of those, so the more, the merrier.
Thanks
Kelda
and
summertimerolls
, on hold for now
•
A pair of knitted socks (I can’t seem to be able to do that)
Thanks
addicted2knitting
• A skirt, I prefer knee-length, PM for measurement. I’d love something like that
http://www.wists.com/Poerava/e97f1f125f6abe4e4c87a0213146e011
, solid dark color with embellishment.
• Thrummed mittens
• A bag big enough to take to my bf’s on the week-end (hold 3 change of clothes, hairbrush…), I’d love something with a corduroy fabric and some embellishment.
Others:
• You can check my wists
http://www.wists.com/Poerava
• Glass and ceramic tiles or pieces in green for a mosaic (the coffee table needs upgrading)
• Shrink plastic
• Fabric covered buttons
• Split ring stitch markers
• Circular knitting needles, every sizes and length welcome.
ABOUT ME:
I am 26 years old and have been living in Chicago, IL for the past 2 years. I am originally from France, I have also lived in London, Germany and Tahiti (don’t hesitate to send goodies from those places; I really miss a lot of things).
