This week, I got the USB flash drive mod bug "AGAIN". I love messing with these things. Refer to my last usb mod post and you will see what I mean.

Anyway, here is my latest batch. They include 3 muscles cars, 2 off road trucks, and a helicopter. Thats right, I said helicopter. I know I have issues, but that is just me.   Enjoy

Neat-o! I am impressed! My son cleaned out his toy cars last week and now I know what to do with the ones he didn't want  Smiley Now I just gotta find out if we have a dremel tool anywhere in our house.

I don't think I have much of a tutorial. I just bought some usb flash drives and some matchbox cars. Using a screwdriver, I took the guts out of the usb flash drive casing (you would be surprised just how little is in those things). Using a dremel tool, I cut out an opening in the back of the cars and grounded out the internals to make the usb fit. A little electrical tape, hot glue, and super glue to mount the drives inside, and we are all done. Not much to it, but it did take me a little while to actually do it. Slow and steady is the key.

I'm going to give this a try, as soon as I find some cheap USB sticks that I don't mind breaking if it all goes wrong.  I found some squeezy Marvel character toys that I'm going to cut the heads off, stick the USB stick inside and glue a lid inside the head.  Cheesy

Very cool. Make sure you post some pics of your finished product. I would love to see them. Good luck.
FYI, I usually get my flash drives from newegg.com. They have some good prices for drives.
