the first try...
and with buttons in the background.

the first is base metal and the second sterling wire.
this is one that i made for a friend for christmas--i posted it on the button cuff thread already...

and this is one that's just plain with copper wire.  i like it, but i might do more to it.  who knows?

thanks!
the copper wire is 20 gauge and the sterling is 22, as i recall.  not sure about the base metal stuff, as it's just cheap headpins, mostly.
i just scanned the actual pieces and they are much brighter in person.  i'm happy with the way they're coming and glad you like them.

I LIKE! Very classic, not to trendy, but just trendy enough, something that won't go out of style soon. What are the little flower heads from?are they just beads?

the flowers are center-cut glass beads...used singly in the one without buttons and layered with a darker color/slightly larger flower in the one with the buttons (which i'm wearing right now, by the way, and love!  Smiley )

wow, those are amazing.  did you purely use wire, or was there glue involved at some point?

most are just wire, though i did hot glue the pinback to the flower+button one because the back was not all at the same level and i wanted it to sit flat and be smoother on the back.  i stuck a piece of felt to the pin and then put that onto the button.  if i had had pinbacks that i liked better, it would have been easier.  the ones i had on hand only had one square hole in it instead of a row of holes, which gives more stability to just wiring it on.
(that didn't make much sense, i'm afraid, but if you've looked at the pinbacks, you probably get it.  i hope.  Smiley )
