I don't know how it works out, but on the soldest day of the year so far, I decided to make a swimsuit.

Forgive the modeling with the shirt underneath, like I said, it's cold Wink

In the pictures it kindof looks brown, but it is in fact black with white polka dots. I drafted a rough pattern, and then used the good old method of trial and error to finish it. I'm really happy with the results!!

Ehhh...winter weight...ew.

What do y'all think?

Cute! I really like the shaping and fabric. Trial-and-error is the way to go, in my opinion Wink

This is really cute! It actually never occurred to me to make my own bikini, even though I have a horrible time finding ones that fit and don't cost the earth, heh.

Thanks!
I'm not making bottoms, since I got the piece of fabric at the thrift store, and I hardly have any left. Maybe I find some red swimsuit fabric, and make some out of that.

Well, when it's -40 C is the BEST time to make a swimsuit.
