I've become recently obsessed with making baskets out of magazines while I watch TV. I found it's not only easy, but also remarkably relaxing! Now I just need to figure out what to do with all of them. Mostly I've been using them as trash cans or for holding things under the sink. They're sturdy, long-lasting, and make great gifts!

Those are really neat! Would you be willing to make a tutorial?  (or just point me in the direction I can learn to do it myself)

Wow, these are great!  They make me want to turn my boyfriend's magazines into baskets.  Now I have to look up basket weaving...

How did you make the thin magazine paper so sturdy?  Did you layer or fold several pages together before weaving?

I folded each page into about one-inch strips (hot dog fold three times) and then covered each strip with clear packaging tape. It lasts forever. I've used that tall white-ish one as a trash can for almost a year.
