This is shameless promotion! Tongue  I have been knitting since I was 8 years old (thanks Mom!), and would love to pass on the skills of one of my favorite activities.  If you want to learn how to knit, I offer lessons at $10 a session (which usually lasts 30 min to an hour).  Depending on how fast you learn, it may take up to 3 to 4 sessions to cover the basics (cast on, knit, purl, and bind off).  For intermediate level knitters, I even have lessons I've developed for lace, felting, etc.  I would be willing to swap too - like books or food, etc.   Wink  Group classes may be fun too if you have a group of friends who want to learn to knit... I'm doing such a class in two weeks with a classmate of mine and her friends.  Throw in a little dinner and it's a knitting party (like a tupperware party but cooler).  Let me know.

P.S. I live in Decatur, GA, and would be willing to travel within the metro Atlanta area to meet you.

I do want to learn to knit, but I really need to learn to sew first!  I've had my machine for 2 years and I never use it.  Do you teach sewing?

Umm, I do know how to sew, but am not an expert.  I could show you the basics on a machine - threading the bobbin, etc.

Everybody keeps saying that they know a little, but not enough to teach.  Maybe if we pool our collective knowledge . . .

Rebecca (really red hair from craft group) knows enough about sewing to teach.  I don't know what her schedule is, but it may be worth asking her.  (She is out of town right now though.)
