Hey all!

Here is my latest sweater! I love it a lot, although I'm not sure how much i"ll wear it.

It's my own design, based on a top-down, v-necked raglan. The bodice is all simple 4 stitch cables, and the sleeves are loose stockinette, with a cable design on each one. It was surprisingly quick, for how long it was, and very easy!

it took about about 7 balls of Sirdar Indigo Pure Cotton Denim DK, which was fantastic to work with. I love the color!

I can't wait for spring so I can wear this more. I want to get a thick belt and wear it right under the bust.

As always, there are more details on my blog, http://skeinsandsteins.blogspot.com/2008/01/lights-camera-action.html, and on my ravelry page. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/chasingmyself

It seems that you did very beautiful shaping for the bust waist and the hip.  Could you instruct how to do the bust?

Thanks!

I think you could wear that now with a turtleneck and jeans, some tall boots and a sexy hat!  Nice work.  Wear it now!

I'm going to try to write it up, and make another one for my little sister. It might take a while, but i'd love to get a pattern out there!

Hm, I think a lot of it was luck, and the drape of the fabric, but basically it's just a really deep v-neck raglan, and right after the bust I started decreasing and cabling. THe cables draw the fabric in quite a bit, which is what makes it look so shapely. There's really minimal shaping, except decreasing after the bust!
