My grandmother gave me this vintage cashmere sweater a while back, and I really loved the rose pink color, but I didn't wear it all that often because it was also pretty boxy and frumpy.  So I finally decided to alter the darn thing.



I used the scraps to create the rose, which I pinned to the lapel, and it looks 1000 times better on me. 



I am really really happy with how it turned out.

That is gorgeous!  I think cardigans are an absolute necessity but I sometimes have a hard time finding ones that have the fit I want.  Thanks for the tutorial!

So cute. My mom has a million vintage sweaters, but she would kill me if I butchered any of them. I'll have to go find a cheap one at a thrift store to experiment.

By the way, I've been reading your blog and I love it. You're great! Haha.
