My Signature Recycled Bag

« on: January 27, 2008 09:12:15 PM »

Here are some recycled denim heart purses I made for Valentine's Day. I used some old jeans to create these heart shaped purses. I added some printed fabric for lining and some other embellishments to decorate these little purses.

The first bag on the left has a longer strap that I cut a 2" strip of denim to make the strap. The other one has just a piece of denim hem that I trimmed to create a little handbag strap with. The heart purse itself measures about 6" wide by 7" long. Here are more pictures and info on this project if you are interested http://www.myrecycledbags.com/2008/01/26/recycled-denim-heart-purse/

I just cut a paper heart template to make these. I cut two denim hearts out and two fabric hearts for lining. I made these for a couple of little girl's for Valentine's Day gifts and hope they'll like them.
