Mmm...caloric intake

As some of you know, most of the things I post, I can't actually fit into yet.  Some I squeeze into.  Some I put on without zipping.  And some I haven't even bothered with so I posted them on the hangers (don't think you guys like that. hehe).  Anywho, here are a some more I've pulled from the back of the closet after this week's weigh in.  After finding out another 5lbs. were lost, I got a little happy and tried some things on.  To my surprise, I could actually zip one.  No, I couldn't breathe.  But who needs air, huh?  And a few will have to be taken in if I want to keep wearing them.  Ok, enough with the jibber jabber.

McCall's 4829 - Black floral w/ border print used to make bust (I was going to take the picture without this being zipped, but my husband insisted it could be zipped.  Whaddayaknow, he was right.  Of course my back looks like a busted can of biscuits...but it's zipped!)

Simplicity 3803 - Chocolate with lime floral print (very hard to take a flattering picture of this dress.  Trust, it's very cute in person, but I think the fabric pattern and shape make it look pretty blah in pics.  Oh, and it's too big in the pictures.  It fit great shortly after I had my daughter.  It could stand to go down a size.  I really like it, so I have to figure how to alter it for this summer.)

Vintage Mail Order Pattern - Grey suiting fabric with black triangle waist inserts and collar (I was nervous about what fabric and colors to use for this.  It can look kinda Star Trekish or some uniform.  But I went for these colors and really like it.  I need to lose about another 2 inches on my hips for it to fit properly.  It's kinda snug on the hips, but the intended looseness in the midsection.  I still need to hem it and snip the thread bits around the collar)

McCall's 5094 - Bright Turquoise similar to pattern envelope model.  ( Now my husband insisted he could zip this one too.  He was wrong.  Very wrong.  so there are no back shots of this since it's unzipped.  But I did have him tie the back so I can give kinda an accurate idea of the fit.)

Vintage McCall's 9793 copyright 1969 - Dark chocolate floral stretch twill or something from JoAnn clearance last year (This dress finally fits like it looks on the envelope.  You know how dresses of the sixties had a looser fit than those of the decade before.  Well when I first made it, it fit more like an 90's dress.  All tight and short.  Not cute.  Oh, and this was the...I think 3rd dress I made.  The first was a recon from my maternity shirts.  The second was a plaid number that went HORRIBLY wrong, and is now in the "to recon" pile.  and then this.)

And just because I do have a picture of when I first made this dress, before losing the current weight.

McCall's 5002 - Embroidered camo print (yet another busty asian inspired dress.  Ok, I have no idea how I got this one zipped, and it took a village to get it off.  The things I do for Craftster.  Should be a little less exposing once my boobs aren't being smashed and pushed up by the tightness.  No, won't be completely decent, but will be a bit better)

Those are all pretty dresses. But why not make clothes that fit you _now_ instead of for someday?
