While organizing my sewing box, I found a ziploc baggie full of sewing needles and another full of pins.  so i figured i needed something more permanent and safe to hold those things.  behold, my matching sewing needle case and pincushion!

the pincushion was made with this tutorial...

the needle case was made with this one...

and here it is open!

what do ya think??

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

Thank you again ruby_soho for sharing your needle book and tute.  I finally made one and was surprised at how easy it was to make...I don't have a clue how to post pictures here yet. Embarrassed  It's nice to get some of my inherited needles out of those old pincushions and into somewhere save.  Thank you again.

Mornin' ruby_soho.  A very nice member just PM'd me with instructions on how to post pics from the gallery.  I'll just have to figure out how to put the pic into the gallery and I'm all set.  Again, thank you so much for the inspiration!!!

I like the needle case.  I need something like that as I'm always sticking sewing supplies in my purse.  The matching pin cushion is cute too.

ruby_soho.  Thank you so much for the inspiration for the needle book. I love ways to get things organized (being not too organized).  I made three cause I just couldn't figure out how to post.  I made one for a friend.  It's the yellow one with the bumblebee button.  Hope a pic shows up...
