I was trying to think of something to make with my lone skein of Twinkle Soft Chunky and came up with this simple hat yesterday. It only took about 2 hours and used less than 1 skein of this super bulky yarn on us15 needles. I wrote up a simple pattern that can be found on my blog here: http://www.knittingschooldropout.com/2008/01/a_quick_one.htm
I love this yarn, it's ridiculously warm and soft.

Oh, I really like it! At first I didn't think too much of it from the first picture, but I really like how it looks on (a la the second photo). Great colour, too.

I made this using 17's circular instead of 15's.  I really really wish I had 15's.  That's now on my needed "ingredients" list when I go to the craft or lys.

Still though, this hat finished up quick and I love wearing it.  It's so cozy.

Thank you for the pattern!!!

as soon as i saw this post i got to knitting right away!
i used some multicoloured handspun i had purchased ages ago from etsy seller handspun and dyed too http://www.etsy.com/profile.php?user_id=20393
(i am *so* in love with that lady's yarn!)

i used US 13 dpn's and had it done in no time.
unfortunately the colouring of the yarn somewhat distracts from the stitch pattern, but i still dig it.
i'm still not sure whether i will add a pom pom or not.
although it's a lil bit bigger than i usually like my hats to be, it's gonna be so great for days when i wear my hair curly cuz it won't squish my curls!
