So, while working out the pattern for this project: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=222077
I came across this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=200509.0 in search of a star pattern.
What luck! She even used the same yarn as me Smiley
I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. I have admired the star-shaped baby blankets for ages, but been much to intimidated by the seeming complexity of the increases and decreases in the patterns. laurah4200 has made this really simple, and easy to follow.

(obligatory close-up)

Thanks so much to lauarah4200 for posting this pattern!!! I can see myself re-using this one quite a bit... Cheesy:D:D

What a cute starghan don't forget to post this in the Star baby blanket along in the Crochetalongs thread okay? They would love to see it there as well. I love the color of this I have this exact yarn except in blue and green.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

I have a varying supply of this yarn too. The pink and purple is for this and the cardigan project.
I have the blue and green for my little guy, and the yellow and white for my niece.

Thanks for letting me know about the crochet-along...I had no idea Smiley

It's Bernat Sweet Stripes (from their baby coordinates) in candy stripes.

The star blanket looks fantastic!  I love the pink and purple colorway, by the way.  Perfect for a little baby girl.
