original title, i know....but i was up til the wee hours of the morning and the phone just woke up me at the ungodly hour of 9am (hey, its a sat, i'm a sleeper)
anyways....i had decided i wanted to tempt fate and knit my boyfriend a sweater....he really appreciated/enjoyed everything else i've knitted for him (hats and an ipod cozy) and he asked once for a sweater, so i said, why not....i found the pattern on ravelry....started it in oct....i had like, the sleeves left to do at christmas....there was no way it would have been done in time....so then i was just going to finish it and give it to him whenever, then i decided i would give it to him for valentine's day....i'm a slow knitter i guess....but i just finished it!
here are the details and some pictures:
pattern:
adirondack pullover by elizabeth morrison
yarn: knitpicks swish superwash in merlot and camel
size: xxl (maybe that's what added to how long it took me

)
i had to stand on my bed in order to get the whole thing in the pic! the stripe wasn't part of the pattern, but i heart the 90s and the whole chest stripe sweater phenomenon that happened then....for some reason tho, i tried that whole jogless thing, and you can still see where the colors change...ohwell...i
ts one of those things i think only knitters can see...kind of like how right there i did a k instead of a p....glares right at me

now it kind of fits me...and he's a couple sizes bigger than me....but...when i wear it, it is big and not at all clingy....and the ribs aren't all stretched out....so i'm hoping it fits

i hope it fits...that's my biggest concern....if it doesn't fit...i swear....i will cry like i've never cried before....i'd probably be more upset if it doesn't fit then if he doesn't like me or the myth comes true....but, i don't think those 2 last things will happen....i think he'll be totally impressed by it....
crap
i am impressed....before i was done with the 2nd sleeve, i held it up and was like "HOLY S*&^ its a sweater!"
now i knit a sweater for myself.....
thanks for looking!
