I made the journal too but it's in another thread.  I think this should go here since it's for journals ... a fabric pen holder that keeps a pen or pencil with your journal.

It's not actually crooked like that, I just didn't have it straight when I shot it and I didn't notice until after I uploaded the photo onto flickr Smiley  So yes, it's elastic.

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.

What a great idea! I love them. So do the pen holder also act as a bookmark as well?

This is such a great idea! Cool fabrics, too! I hate tucking the pen inside, since it always falls out, and when I clip it onto the edge, it always pops off.

Does it have an elastic band around the back side, or is it custom fit for each journal? I think I'll be making one or two of these pretty soon! Thanks for sharing!

You got it ... elastic band around the back side.  It goes around the cover.  I don't think that you could use it as a bookmark too. That'd require a really long piece of elastic if you were going thru a lot of the book and that would not stay if you were just going around the cover.

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

What a super idea!  Do you use elastic to keep it attached to the journal?
