malaysian sun bear cushion

for my friends birthday I made her this cushion, it turned out really small but maybe a nice size for the baby she's having.
For some reason she's really into Malaysian sunbears, did you know they can turn around inside their own skin?! I can't really picture how that works but it sounds awesome

i looked it up on the web and it says that:

As protection from predators (tigers and leopards) the Malayan Sun Bear has very loose skin around its neck. If grabbed from behind, the bear can wriggle its body inside its skin, far enough to turn around and bite back!

That is really cool, nice work. As for the turning around in their skin, if a predator were to grab the back of the neck, the skin is so loose that it can wriggle around and bite the predator.

ach!  your bear cushion is so cute!  one hardly hears about them at all, but we learned a tonne of stuff about them from our hs health teacher: when he was a medic/con-ob in vietnam, an orphaned sunbear wandered into their encampment area and they adopted it as their mascot.  he showed us all sorts of pictures, they are so dang cute.  it was also a platform for him to lecture on the evils of the vietnam conflict, and how innocent people were affected- and also millions of animals lost their homes and lives.  that's one side to wars no one seems to even think about.

thanks for the nice comments and I love how this turned into a forum for bear facts! The tongue is another of the msb's trademarks, he uses it to lick ants out of their holes.
