I made this purse from probably the easiest mental pattern ever. It's basically a tote bag with a pocket inside.


Rainbow fabric was $1/yard at Wal-Mart.
Lining was just red cotton that I had laying around the house.

Folded the main fabric over and sewed it onto the inside. The straps are tubes of the rainbow fabric sewn onto the outside of the bag (strategically, to cover some mistakes).

it's not the most complicated process, but it was fun to make and the recipient liked it!

OMG what cheery fabric!  I love it!  Reminds me of my Mork and Mindy suspenders that I had eons ago that I used to fight with my sister over...anywho.
