As usual, I'm drooling over all the yarns, but this week I actually have one to show!!

This is about 40 yards, made with leftovers from the roving I bought to practice with.  Plied with a rose colored thread.  I'm calling it "early sunset"

thanks for the inspiration everyone!!

So much yummy goodness!  I had to laugh because pmpknpunk's lazy kate looks just like mine (except my cat has eaten part of the corners of the box - what is it about cats and cardboard?).  I've just got one skein this week, London Smog:

I'm pretty meh on this one.  It looked good as a single, but plied, not so much.  I navaho plied it, which is still pretty tricky for me to do.  It's 162 yards and 4 3/4 ounces.  Mostly wool, some soy silk and sparkle thrown in too.  I may weave a scarf or something out of it.

Friday always rolls around so fast! Here's what I got done this week:

Splendor - patchwork ("faux scrap") yarn, mostly merino-cross wool with a pinch of black/white mill end wool/mohair blend

Stonyfield - crazy multicolored batt plied with invisible (sneaky!) thread and multicolored felty baubles

Green And Speckled Frog - organic cotton! I can't believe I dyed this, it is so pretty.

Spectra - a repeat (sort of) of one of my earlier patchwork yarns.

Drama - a really crazy bulky yarn that I spun by just pulling random things from my stash. Organic cotton, bamboo, kid mohair, felty baubles, raw rambouillet, sparkle, and many other bits and bobs.

Rona - my most favorite patchwork yarn so far! I spun two skeins, and I'm keeping one for myself.

I love the colors this week! So bright and pretty. Everyone's yarns are so nice.

I spun this one; it's wool and bamboo slubs. It's called "Pine Valley":

Wow! These are all soooo great this week! I need to build up more of a stash so I can make some of these crazy multi-color yarns. Here's what I have this week:

"Be Mine" - self-striping wool and nylon

"Hook, Line, and Sinker" - wool, nylon, and recycled plastic bottles (not what I was expecting it to be - it's very soft and squishy - also kinda difficult to spin...)

I only have one for this week. I've been busy making things for other people and haven't had alot of alone time with my wheel.

Jem and the Holigrams - 4oz Merino silk 80/20 with some sparkle. I bought this roving from my LYS. It was packaged as scraps of hot pink, petal pink, yellow, leaf green, and white. I carded the scraps together and love how it turned out.
