I bought a 50's table off craigslist and when I went to pick it up, the lady literally had a garage sale in her living room. She told me to look through everything and much to my delight, her mother was a craftster!

Here's what I got:

Fabric, dolls, a crocheted owl....

The Kewpie dolls are my favorite!

2 rolls of old wrapping paper and a roll of 50's wall paper!

Here's the actual table that I got (I'm going to refinish it)

Any ideas on what to do with the wallpaper???

I might go back and buy the rest of her Kewpie dolls just to have.  They're basically NOS at $1.50 each!!!!

The Kewpie dolls are great. You should totally go buy all of them! My mom used to talk about them all the time and I never thought they were real (she had a tendancy to make things up, in a good way:)

What a find! Even better than a crocheted owl, you got a MACRAME owl. Too too 70s!

Wow! You did good.Love the kewpies, and the wallpaper. There's got to be the perfect project out there for it somewhere. Is it smooth or flocked? I could see it lining a cabinet painted in one of those greens, displaying white dishes.Um,put a piece inside a picture frame and hang as art? Cover a scrapbook?Or storage boxes? Or inset on the top of a painted table, sealed or under glass? As panels in a folding screen? Yes,I know I'm wildly impractical, but it's a fun find. Grin
And you'll kick yourself later if you don't go back for the kewpies-I regret what I pass up more than what I buy.
