oh, definately 2 partners!!!  I can never choose just one person to ask...it is hard enough to limit it to two!!  I mean, I know for sure that I want to swap with everyone in this round...I can't even believe the stuff in this gallery!

Babbetto has been swamped and asked me to post the photos I took of the shrine I made for her.

It's about 10x13 inches tall.  The door opens!

The roof is covered with bingo cards.

And this is my favorite bit, the stoop in front of the door.  I covered most of the shrine in Farsi newspaper, and I really loved the way this bit came through.

Sadly I don't have a decent picture of the interior.  There are niches on the interior right, left and bottom, and the bird assemblage is backed with rich orange paint. You can see the fuscia-ish purple I used in the bottom of the interior in the last image above.

I built the shrine out of foam core board, then covered it in paper and painted and embellished it.  Because of it's size, it's a bit top-heavy, so there are weights to keep it from tipping over (giant bolts, glued behind a false back behind the two bottom niches).

I left space in the shrine for Babbetto to add her own goodies.  I loved how this turned out.  It's only the second shrine I've made.  I wanted to keep it, but I knew it was going to someone who would love it!!!

Shocked I did not know this cool bit of information!

My favorite thing about this shrine is the way you put together the hinges on the door.
Okay, I'm a dork but I finally "get it!"

I've got some really great things I need to add in my free niches and am very excited by this prospect.
I love my shrine  Grin!

ghilie - I'm so glad you liked your stuff!  I was really pleased with the way your hoodie turned out, I spent quite a bit of time on it. Smiley  The tee is an iron-on, sweets4ever made me one and I adore it so I wanted to try it too.

C'mon superhooker - I'll make you a hoodie - it'll be fun for all of us! Grin
