This is my third poppet so far, and I LOVE THEM!!!!

This is Esmeralda. She is dressed as a spanish lady. Wink
I love rabbits, so a rabbit she is.

She is so lovely!  I really like her costume, the dress and that gorgeous lace head dress veil thingy (not sure of the official term--lol).  I may borrow some ideas for my upcoming flamenco poppet!

Thanks! Grin
Borrow all you want, I don't mind.

I don't really know the name of it either. Embarrassed
It came in an american doll clothing set, and it worked for this. Smiley
Those who say it can't be done shouldn't interrupt the person doing it.

She is GORGEOUSity incarnate! I love her eyes.... so vampy...she needs eyeliner Cheesy!

OMG Do the American Girl doll clothes fit the poppets well?Huh I invested a bit in some of the AG patterns for my neice (she has a ton of those ugly buggers  Tongue - sorry to all the American Girl lovers, just my opinion). Anyway....if they do that leaves me no reason to resist (like  I need another craft addiction).

*crosses her fingers*

They're too big. Sorry to pop your bubble. Embarrassed
But re-sizing is easy for me so thats what I did.... So if you wanna spend time altering patterns, go ahead and try them!

They eyes were sanded down and re-painted.
Silver and blue is the paint combo. Grin

I was humming Carmen incessently while making this poppet. Lol!!

She's beautiful. The outfit is gorgeous. I love her fluffiness! The American Girl doll clothes would be too big. However you can reduce them slightly in size. There are tons of books out there for patterns for 18" dolls. Poppets are skinnier.
