I have been working on this painting for months! I just keep forgetting about it and then pulling it out every once in awhile to work on it- I'd really love to finish it soon so I'm posting it as a WIP in here for motivation to finish the darn thing!

It's undone (obviously) and already hanging in my bedroom lol

Let me know what you guys think! Smiley

(the original image I based this off of is from a coloring book, alterations have been made however)

Motivate me please! Cheesy

Thanks!
-Jamie

Throw on some bellydance music and I think that will do it!

I don't think it's obvious that it's a WIP at all!  Very colorful and purdies.

Is it on canvas board or stretched canvas?

Thanks guys!!

It's on stretched canvas! Smiley

I've had quite a few people tell me it would look fine if I didn't add anymore details. Everyone has actually suggested I only detail the clothes and jewelry and leave the faces and skin solid colored. I'm going to see how that looks when I finish the clothes

I agree, just add some detail to the clothes and jewelry and then walk away. Let the painting inspire you....

It is just beautiful, I am a bellydancer and this is just sooo beautiful....

This is really beautiful! I love the colors and movement and shapes. I like the skin as it is, too!

jamie that's AWESOME!

i really like it the way it is. extra details on the clothing would be fun, but the faces are lovely the way they are..
