This might not seem like much, but this is the first thing that Ive crochet'd that:
 a; is useful
and
b; isnt from the ball of wool Im using to teach myself different stitches (once Ive figured out what Im doing, I frog the lot and start a new stitch).

(just to show off my almost neat stitches)

Id show a pic of my proud smug face, but have been drinking Ribena and am now sporting a Ribena smile!

I think its SC, but I kind of did what looked right whilst on a 20min bus journey to my mums.

Thank you for looking

Wow you did a great job on keeping your stitches so nice and neat!!!  I have been crocheting for 30+ years and I don't think I can make my stitches as neat as yours! Keep up the great work.

Great work!  Those are beautiful looking stitches.   I love that feeling when you finally finish your first project.  Keep us posted on your progress!

Wonderful job.  Feels great to make something you can use doesn't it?
