not my words but kate moss's words.

Moss ditches partying for knitting?Thursday, January 24 2008, 15:05 GMT

By Alex Fletcher, Entertainment Reporter

Kate Moss has taken up knitting to help alter her partying lifestyle.

The model wants to ditch her hedonistic activities, according to the Daily Star, and is using a knitting set boyfriend Jamie Hince gave her for Christmas to achieve the changes.

"Kate is trying to keep her new obsession a secret as she thinks its seriously uncool," said a source.

"She carries her needles and wool hidden away in a big black Chanel bag."

Moss has reportedly been set a challenge by Sadie Frost's mum, Mary Davidson, to knit a jumper by the beginning of February half-term holidays.

why does she think its uncool i personally cant think of anything cooler than making something out nothing

What is to be ashamed of? Lots of different types of people knit. Heck I've seen gothic people knit before. And people who aren't super-girly knit too. It's not just for "grandmas" anymore.

Well don't we all carry our knitting about in high fashion bags?  Cheesy

Why is she doing it if she is so ashamed of it and thinks it's "uncool"? Also, knitting is not the opposite of partying so her resolution is just plain stupid.

being drugged up, boozing, in & out of rehab, & having relationships with heroin addicts is cooler than knitting then is it, kate?

She'll learn quickly if she relapses.
I'd LOVE to see that jumper after she goes after it post-party.

I can't believe that she thinks that when she lives in London. There are loads of knitting groups and yarn stores there to go join in with the knitting masses.

I dunno, models and their image - you'd think it was important or something!

If I saw a quote from Kate that says she thinks it's not cool I might believe it, but this is a statement by 'a source'. Why do you assume it's correct? Also her thinking it uncool might just be that person's interpretation of the fact that she keeps her stuff in a bag. Knitting is not 'cool' or 'uncool', unless you mean that the speaker likes or dislikes it, in which case you can't say that it is cool or not...
