Actually if it wasn't for Ghilie, than I would never have done this! It is all because of her! And the enthuisiasm I have had to keep it goin is from all the Poppeteers that are also involved to keep the inspiration and ideas rollin! You guys are my best Craftster Pals!!! Not to sound like I am giving a speech at an awards show, but it needed to be said. All the Poppeteers input and ideas had a lot to do with this. I am almost more excited to share it with all you guys than I am with my husband an inlaws! Especially because you all know what it takes and what kind of shopping, scouting and work it takes to make one! It is nice sharing with people who totally relate!
Aw, shucks MK. We just like playing with you.
Could you give me a little explanation of how you did Fifi's nose. I'd like to do the same with my tiger.

Yes!!! I altered the pattern on JUST the nose and made an over exaggerated point. Then before you stuff the face, you flatten the nose horizontally, and flap it down like a centimeter or so and tack it in place! I am going to see if I can get my blasted scanner to work so I can send it to you!

Poppet is a lesser known term for doll! There are lots of common things used in witch craft and dark magic. I'm not an authority on witchcraft, but I'm sure there are people on Craftster who are Wiccan, and would be happy to educate you.

Here's the definition of a poppet:

1. A small image in the human form; a doll.

When I named the first one Poppet, I was going for a french sounding word.  The french word for doll is poupee, poppet is derived from that.  Plus, I always thought of the word poppet as a term of endearment.  That's all...

And Poppets are very dear to all of us Poppeteers and I think Poppet is a perfect name. You can make banana sundaes an item of witchcraft if you wanted to. It is all a state of mind. These dolls have a TON of personality but are far from..... Witchcraft.

Next idea, make a Witch Poppet.
