I'm making ribbon necklaces, and I like to use a drop of super glue when attaching the ribbon end to the finding. I'm used to using the gel kind but somehow ended up with a tube of the runny kind today.

Yep, I glued my fingers together.  Roll Eyes

But, on impulse, obviously without a thought in my head, as my fingers first stuck i licked them... the primordial part of my mind thinking that would help. Uh-huh, superglue on the tongue. Crusty.  Tongue

In the meantime, the index finger of my other hand glued itself to my project.  Embarrassed

Right index finger and thumb glued together, left index finger with a necklace waving from the end of it, tongue stuck out to keep from tasting the superglue crusty bits... licking my sleeve to try and rub off said crusty bits... trying to open the nail polish remover. Yeah, I had to laugh... specially since dh wasn't home to do so (thankfully).  Cheesy

Could have been worse than having nasty tasting, crusty glue on your tongue, you could have ended up with nasty tasting, crusty glue on your tongue that was glued to your finger and thumb.

At least it was an accident and not done on purpose.  - Some guy in England superglued his eyelids closed because he was jealous of the attention his wife was giving to their newborn baby.  It even made the news over here in Australia.

I didn't until I splashed enough nail polish remover around to dissolve the glue holding my fingers together! Wink

My step sister superglued her hand to the kitchen bench. On purpose. Cos she didn't want to go to school. And she was like 14 at the time.

So I totally didn't know about using nail polish remover to get super glue off. I always glue my fingers together and I usually just rip them apart. It hurts, I'm not doing that ever again.
