Manx Tailless Cat Plush Doll

I made a little plushy of my Manx kitty,for those of you who don't know Manx's are cat's that are normally born with half a tail or line in the case of my cat Manxy just a puff for a tail.
Mr Manxy was adopted by me not to long ago when a friend of mine rescued him and his brothers from a trash dumpster where somebody left them to die as babies.My 3 legged kitty passed away so I figured I could do with another missing part cat around the house
The doll is made out of some fuzzy brown fabric I snagged at Wal-Mart for 50 cents a yard,and it's hand silk screed with a photo of Manxy.
I also made some more stylized ones of my cat's Lamb and Mr Grumpy,I have been a busy crazy cat lady lately!LOL
As you can see Manxy lays on my work desk and supervises construction.

Oh this is wonderful!  I love how the picture matches in real life - the happy squinty-eyed look (I know my scaredy cat is feeling safe and happy when she leaves her eyes closed when I walk by - yay!), the patterns, the shape... great work!!

That's awesome! Love his happy lil' face. I'm a veterinary nursing student, one of my cat breed books is British... they call a Manx with a few vertebrae in its tail (like your guy) a 'rumpy riser'. That totally always makes me giggle! I'd love to have one and call him Rumpy. I love your plushie!

Awwww! Manx's are my favorite breed! I had a rumpy(one without any tail). The ones with a stump are called stumpies His name was Morpheus. He got out of the house last May and despite my extreme attempts to find him, I never did. He gave me 8 years of good times though.


I love the manx doll you made. It is so wonderful! I need to make myself one of those for sure.
