Happy Heart Card

I want to thank Lime Riot for the inspiration for this card.  I saw the Valentine cards she posted on her blog, and I HAD to make something similar myself.  I love the idea of giving a card that includes a little gift!
 


The heart has a pin on the back, so the recipient can remove it from the card and either wear it, or untie the bow and tie it to something, like her purse strap.  If you would like to make one (or more!) yourself, I just posted a tutorial on my blog.  The heart doesn't require much in the way of materials, and it went together pretty quickly.  I had bought a big reel of baker's twine that I had hardly used for anything, so I'm thrilled that it works so well with this project!  (You could use any kind of string or ribbon if you don't have baker's twine.)

I sew a lot more than I do papercrafts, so the card I made is very simple.  The stamped message could say anything you want.  I plan to make a lot of these cards to use for other things, starting with some that say "thanks".  Using different colors for the heart and card would make it appropriate for any time of year.

  I sew a lot more than I do paper crafts too, so I totally know where you're coming from. ( In fact, I'm going to post some note cards I just made too)
