I found this awesome jacquard and it simply screamed "make a purse! make a purse!"
Well... lots of fabrics do this, actually. But I bought this one and... guess what? I made a purse. It could have been better, especially the lining, but I still like it. Kinda.

I think your purse came out great!  I bought a similar style fabric in mahogany last week to make a purse.  I love the fabric covered button you added that is great how did you make the button?  Is there some sort of batting inside or is it over an actual button?  Any advice you can give on working with that material would be appreciated as I am a newbie to sewing lol.

I'm a seamstress and the only thing i have to say is be carefull if your sewing on a Manichean silk has a tendency to pucker so take your time.
