Tilted Duster, My 1st sweater!!!

Hey, I just finished this exact sweater but mine is purple.  It's my first sweater, too!  Beautiful color, btw.  I am having issues with those dumb buttons, too. My problem is the hidden buttons on the inside.  I can't seem to get the placement just right because it seems no matter where I sew them on the overlapping collar still pulls apart a little and you don't get that nice 'V' line at the top.    Your buttons look very nice.  I hope mine turns out well when I finally get them in the right spot!

right now, i don't have the hidden buttons sewn on, just a safety to keep it closed and the buttons you can as well as a snap closure right were the skirt begins.


Everybody, thanks for the very nice comments, i was  a little apprehensive to start this project, especially when i didn't get gauge and decided to knit a size up, but I love the result. It took a little over 3 months to finish it but i got distracted a lot and knit plenty of little things in the middle. Now, I am working on a seamless sweater because I really don't like sewing all the pieces together.

Love this sweater.  I just finished knitting it too.  I wear it all the time.  I've only sewn on one button so far, and am using the safty pins on the other side too. 

I love all of Norah Gaughan's patterns though.  I'm thinking of trying Lotus (free from the Berocco website) next, since it is similar in style, but different enough.
