Did you seal them when you were done?
I can see pouring resin on them to add some gloss and protective seal.

I love doing projects with scrabble tiles!  i've done a clock, a belt (that spells out supercalifradgilist icexpialdocious), and I have plans for a chair.  This is just too cool!

I also hunt down thrift stores for games as well.
