Camo purse, pouch, wallet, etc. (lots-o-pics)

A friend gave me one of her husbands DCU's to recon for her.  This is what I came up with before being tired of looking at brown and khaki for two days.  LOL

I'll admit that the tute was a bit difficult to follow since the pics were broken.  But I did it!  The zipper part of the tute made absolutely no sense at all to me, so I kind of fudged it.  I am happy with how it ended up though...





Next I made a little wallet.  I used a button from the shirt for the closure.  I used the tute found here.

Then I made this super easy pyramid bag, using the tutorial I found here:

And finally, I made a zipper pouch using one of the pockets on the shirt.  The pocket is still completely functional, and there is a zipper at the top so it also is a pouch.  The back is the same brown corduroy as in the other projects..

Ahh....love this!  I have an old DCU uniform that I could use for the project as well!  Love how your bag turned out!

What a marvelous job! YOu did really great!  I don't see how you followed that pleatness bag tute....I love the bag...just can't seem to wrap my arms around getting thru the fragmented portion of the tute....maybe some day!  Very good job! Thanks for sharing!

That's really cool!  I'm brand new to craftster and love it!  I've got some old jeans I wanted to make a purse with and I got great inspiration here and really liked how your camo purse turned out.  Hopefully mine ends up just as nice.  Thanks for the idea!
