Okay, so first of all I've learned a lesson this weekend (but only after a few tries with the mistake).  Stabilizer does NOT, I repeat DOES NOT, work effectively as interfacing in purse making  Sad  I was under the impression, and I have no idea where I got that impression, that I would work the same way.
At any rate, I made some new cute purses.  They feel a little funny because of the stabilizer, but I still like then and they are still functional.
Purse numero uno:

I just love how this turned out.  I'm trying to sell it at work for $5 but I can't say I'll be terribly upset if it doesn't sell and I'm forced to keep it for myself.
Okay so purse number b

The story behind this one is that I'm quite proud of my design but I made some inevitable mistakes on it so I'm for sure keeping this one for myself.  It was a learning experience though and it was on this purse that I figured out that stabilizer just wasn't cutting it.  That and I won't be using that sort of strapping for the, well, strap again, because it feels chincey.  Anyway, there we go!

PS. I can't wait until my 10 posts are up so I can post real pictures like all the cool kids!   Cheesy

I love how the picture on the body of the purse and the flap lines up so well!  Awesome!  The second one is really cute.  Did you use ribbon for the strap?

I'm not sure that you'd call it ribbon, but it's more ribbon than webbing.  I bought it a while back at Wal-mart and the packaging showed it to be used on belts and for trim and such, similiar to the way you'd use ribbon- but more cloth like and slightly heavier.  Short answer though- pretty much yes  Cheesy
