I saw this cardboard books at my local craft shop and
this idea popped up in my head as I stood there.

I have a thing for old pulp book covers and since I have
a collection at home I decided to scan and laminate my
favorites. Turned out that I had a lot of favorites so I
thought it would be cool if I have one on each side for
more variation of the clutch.

I sprayed the cardboard book/box, made a hole for the
elastic band and the paper fastener (who in this case were
sprayed black first) then I glued some felt on the inside
and the laminated covers on each side.

Easy and in my opinion  a very cool clutch purse.
(Yes, I got tons of compliments on the 50's scene when I
went to see a friend gigging.)  Grin

I made another one that I'm gonna post in a couple of minutes.

Hey, what are those people doing!?

These clutches are fabulous!  I'd love to have a couple of those.  Looks like fun to make, too!  I am eyeing my scanner and my book covers...

They were very easy and fun to make.
I have tons of covers that I wanna use so I aim to make another one but in a
different color than black or red.

Good luck and I hope to see your result. Smiley
