I love the way that knit looks, but I crochet.  I've seen crocheted projects that look like knit, but I have no clue how to do it.  How do you crochet something to look like knit?

Tunisian crochet looks a lot like knitting.

Tunisian crochet has a knit stitch and it works out beautifully. The only thing with Tunisian is you use slightly more wool as it is thicker than knitting. I have made some lovely afghans and a sweater for hubby with it.
