so i got the idea from marthastewart.com and they were really simple to make
heres how my window turned out. i put them in my dorm and it really makes the room brighter and more interesting i think.

sorry for the crappy pic
all they are are wax crayon shavings that have been melted in between pieces of wax paper with an iron. then i hung them up with string and they look pretty when the sun shines through. hope you like.

it didn't take very long and there are like 30 or 40 i thiink. when i moved into my dorm i realized i should have made lots more because my window is very tall.

Lovely!  I have so many crayons from grade school that I cannot seem to let go of, but now I can do something useful with them.  Bird silhouettes might be fun too.  Your hearts look great!

thanks im glad you like them
bird cut outs would look fabulous. I had a whole ice cream pail full of crayons so I just went to town lol. i like the brown hearts the best because they look pretty next to the pink hearts.
