These earrings consist of a checkerboard Swarovski flatback crystal captured in 22k white gold hex-cut delica beads & fringed with 8 helix Swarovski crystals. My fiance said they reminded him of vintage "flappers", thus the name.

I really like the diamond/square shape of the beadwork.  Is the stone inside diamond shaped? Or did the diamond shape occur with the bead stitch?  I am trying to figure out how it was done.  Wink  (if you do not mind sharing)

I used a square foil/flatback swarovski, and just tilted it to get the diamond effect.
And as to how the stitch was done...lets just say I wouldn't have been able to do it without Julia Pretl's book "Little Bead Boxes".  Wink
