A while ago, my 8 year old asked me to make him a Jinjo.  A what? He showed me a picture-- http://www.alex797.net/jinjo.jpg -- and said this was the only thing he wanted me to make.  Well, thanks to Ghilie's poppet ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.0 ), I was able to come up with a close approximation:

Not perfect, but the other kids assure me it is great.  I just hope he likes it--he hasn't seen it yet tonight because he's in bed.  Thanks for looking!  Smiley

Ah, that's awesome!  Really brilliant of you to use the poppet as a base.

These are the little guys from Banjo Kazooie, right?  Gotta collect 'em all!  I won't be surprised if the other kids start asking for them in different colors.   Grin

What in the world are the eyes made out of?

Thanks for the nice comments!  The poppet pattern is great, so adaptable.  It really saved me here! Cheesy

T4124, the eyes are some that I found at Hobby Lobby in the dollmaking section--they were labeled as frog eyes, but I thought they looked great for both.

He's so cute. I've never heard of Jinjo before.

The eyes do look wonderful. I have seen them in the store, but was not sure what they would look like.

OHMYGOSH! I love that game!! It's from Banjo and Kazooi (something like that) I use to play it all the time, it's a very old game, it came out in the 1990's (Somewhere around there.). You have to collect "Jinjo's", and I forget why, you have to save them from the monsters or something, you just find them anywhere, the're hidden. ANYWAYS, enough with my rambling. I LOVE your orange Jinjo, he's so cute! I assure you your son will love him! Cheesy Smiley Kiss (Yes, i'm a video game freak/nerd.)  Tongue
