Since I don't have to type up the pattern this weekend (yay for Kolibri!!) I may have time to sit and crochet this out with pics, I guess like a tutorial.

Would anyone be interested in seeing the pattern/chart translated into pics??

If there are several of you, I'll do it, otherwise, I've got to stay caught up with my "chores" and stuff ;P   So please be interested!! Just let me know with a yay or nay and I'll make a date with my yarn....

Wow, I've looked that over, and I can't figure it out. I'm hoping the actual pattern has written out instructions??? I can't wait to get it in the mail... I really want to make this afaghan (sp)... I usually make hats, but this really caught my eye. Smiley Btw... What size hook did you use to make it??

See my post above, I'll try to get a tut-ish thing done this weekend for clarity. I used an H/8 hook, that's my favorite, and it's what the pattern called for so it worked out nicely. You might have to do a couple of swatches to see what you like.

A Picture tutorial would be just great! Smiley

I tried crocheting a small sample using the symbols pattern, and it worked out very nice.

If you'd like I can try to translate the symbols into written directions (If someone else hasn't allready started doing that Wink)?
I haven't tried translating before, but it does't look too hard...

if you found the time or inclination to actually do something like i'd just be awed and eternally grateful.

Ok, heres the written instructions for daisy the pattern.

It has been translated from the symbols pattern at the Jessica Tromp page, and I adapted it to look a bit more like Sonnetbird's. I'm not sure directions are exactly the same as those from the mentioned afghan book, but these came from a free pattern site and looks quite the same. (If there are any errors please let me know!)

Happy Crocheting everybody!

Daisy pattern

2dctog = yo insert hook and draw up loop, yo and draw through 2 loops, yo insert hook in same stitch and draw up loop, yo an draw through 2 loops, yo and draw through all 3 loops.

WITH COLOR A.

Start with a chain as long as you want it to be. The number of chains should be dividable by eleven (for instance 22, 33, 44 etc.) TURN

Row 1:

Repeat from * to * throughout row ending with sc in last ch of the beginning chain. DO NOT TURN

Repeat from * to * throughout row ending with 2dctog in last 2dctog and dc in last sc of row. TURN

Repeat from * to * throughout row ending with sc in first of the last 2 2dctog, ch 1, sc in top of ch3 sp. TURN

Row 4:
Ch 4, 2dctog in ch1 sp, ch 2, 2dctog in same sp, skip ch3 sp, sc in sc, * skip ch 3 sp, 2dctog in ch2 sp, (ch 2, 2dctog) 3 times in same sp, skip chain 3 sp, sc in sc *
Repeat from * to * throughout row ending row with (2dctog, ch 2, 2dctog, ch 1, dc) in last ch3 sp. DO NOT TURN

WITH COLOR C.

Row 5:(Start at right side of work)
Join yarn in 3rd ch in ch4 sp, ch5, * 2dctog in top of first 2dctog, skip ch2 sp, 2dctog in top of next  2dctog, skip sc, 2dctog in top of next 2dctog, skip ch2 sp, 2dctog in top of next 2dctog, ch 3, sc in ch 2 sp, ch 3 *
