So this year I decided to revisit a craft I haven't done in quite some time and make my Xmas cards using Quilling. I have made 7 different designs but unfortunately forgot to photograph 2 of them before they got posted, so here are the others (the last being finished 10mins ago!)

The other town were an angel blowing a trumpet and a candy cane with a large bow.

They are so pretty. I wish I had the dexterity to do that but my fingers won't cooperate. Sad
I will live vicariously through you now. Grin

Here are a few links to get you started:

Basically all you need is some narrow strips of paper (most packs come in 5mm or 8mm wide but you can cut wider for more effect), a quilling tool/needle and some glue.

The cards above were made in what I call the 'colouring in' style - ie I find a simple outline drawing or clipart and fill in each area with the colours I want. The other way is show in a few of the links above - it's more of a sculpturing style - using the shapes formed by the coils to create a 3D effect.

Jaffne does this to great effect in her work (as seen in her avatar)

Thank you - I just hope they survive our scottish postmen - they are well known for their ability to mangle even the toughest package!!
