I wasn't going to post after I saw all of the really amazing entries this challenge-but what the heck Smiley
I am very tired of winter, so I looked through my vintage  sheet music and found this piece titled Kiss of Spring. I covered an old wine bottle ( which of course I had to empty Smiley ) with the music and cut out the cover which I attached to thin cardboard. I then attached the cover girls to the bottle and voila-a vase ready to hold the first flowers of spring.
It really needs several more coats of decoupage medium, but that will have to wait Tongue

How very pretty! Was the bottle originally green or is it painted/decopauged?
I really liked the way this turned out!

It was a clear bottle and I just tore up  the cover of the sheet music to cover it. Actually the paper was so old, it fell apart on its own.  I think  might use it as part of a bigger piece. Man, the more I look at the pictures the more I see how much it needs more decoupage and smoothing. It really looks better in real life... Undecided

Hooray, balkandina jumped in! (We all knew you wanted to, and it would've been a shame if you hadn't!) Your vase is lovely, and a nice reminder of warmer days ahead.  Smiley

You're too kind. This is a hard challenge to choose from Smiley

Excellent idea!  Being a wine drinker, and also being sick of winter, I love it.
